Aimhigher is a supportive national initiative that has helped many school students from nonacademic environments realise that higher education can be a viable option for them. I worked with the North Yorkshire Aim Higher team to create vibrant and positive designs for newsletters, folders and log books for students and mentors.
Danesgate is a specialised learning facility for young people placed outside of mainstream schools. The design is energetic to match their personalities and highly positive to encourage them to achieve, while the angling of the logo matches architectural features of the modern building.
Doug James worked with the Royal Mail education department to produce numerous teaching resource packs to coincide with the release of special edition stamps. These included a set of UK heritage architecture stamps that were scaled up to postcard size, printed as a concertina and marked up to be cut out by pupils to create a skyline.
Mode has worked with Higher York over many years on many projects to assist the promotion of higher education participation for local people and businesses. The last three years' annual reports have been designed by Mode with the background theme of interconnectivity running throughout.
