Heritage

Mode has had the pleasure of working with Scottish Natural Heritage and the North York Moors National Park Authority for many years on a full range of designs from leaflets and brochures to interpretation boards; from management plans to displays.

St Kilda is a jewel in the crown for SNH though few get to visit this extremely remote island. Professional marine photography was commissioned to coincide with fresh research work and Mode was asked to design a commemorative set of posters and postcards to show the natural beauty of the legendary isle.

The 124 page Management Plan set out in great detail the current state of the North York Moors National Park, how it's run and its vision for the future. The cover design reflects the wider global context that the park sees itself operating within.

The York Consortium for Conservation and Craftsmanship is an umbrella organisation that helps coordinate and promote the wealth of built heritage skills in the York area. They briefed Mode to update their existing logo and design various items. The logo icon was retained but the typography recrafted using a fitting typeface. The flagship piece of collateral is their 52 page brochure that features the work of their members.
