Pipeline and Drainage came to Mode to design an identity for their innovative road kerbing product.
The product is a kerb manufactured from recycled plastic. The two main benefits are its light weight which means a single operative can handle one whereas standard kerbs need machinery and the other benefit is that the recycled element helps local councils to meet environmental targets.
Mode developed a robust but modern logo with references to highways and the environment. The long term plan was to build the reputation of the product with the aid of a strong brand and a national advertising campaign and then sell it to a multinational corporation. That goal was met within three years.
Shouksmiths are a York building services company who have modernised and expanded over a number of generations to become one of the region’s success stories in a sector that has seen many challenges in recent years. Their logo reflects the structured and engineered characteristics of their industry. Design collateral includes brochures, stationery, livery and adverts.
Mode has worked with Ebor’s senior staff over many years in this sector and was delighted to tackle their latest brief to brand a new company that highlighted their environmental options. Design collateral for Ebor includes website, stationery, presentation folder, signage and livery.
