Mode was invited to pitch competitively for the rebrand and expanded collateral for the long running and much loved bus network that took walkers into the National Park from the York, Middlesbrough and Hull areas.
Four separate routes weaved through the moors offering countless walking options while reducing the number of cars in the park. The logo was subtly crafted to represent the buses in motion rounding corners and cresting hills. An additional challenge was incorporating two existing logos into the final design.
The central components were four A3 folding leaflets for each internal park bus route and a 40 page brochure timetable. The timetable required careful planning to ensure each spread was uniform in format and displayed the information for all eight (including connecting buses) routes as clearly as possible. Cartographical and ‘tube’ style maps were generated for the complete network, individual cartographic maps for each internal route and twelve simple town maps were needed to indicate where all bus stops were.
Further collateral included posters, print adverts and bus adverts for both internal and external placement. Unfortunately austerity measures affected Moorsbus which now runs as a reduced service.
