It is very rewarding to work on projects that are involved with the community whether that be regionally with the Yorkshire and Humber Assembly or more directly with local organisations in York and Whitby.
Working with Navigator Marketing, for the Yorkshire and Humber Assembly, Mode contributed to various projects including a set of cards alerting local councils to the dangers of fuel poverty and a set of cards encouraging a positive view of gypsies, travellers and show people. The latter involved reportage photography in various locations which provided a great set of images and an insight into the lives of this section of our society. We also worked on the 352 page Yorkshire and Humber Plan which at its most intense involved a team of six people writing and designing in the Mode studio.
The WhitbyDAG easy access routes pack was devised for the less mobile explorer and involved researching Whitby under the guidance of a local historian to create five themed routes, each with a specific map.
The branding and collateral for 29 Castlegate (an information centre for young York adults) features vibrant brush strokes to represent the individuality and dynamism of its users.
